Community Gigs ("Community Gigs", "we", "us", "our") operates a community marketplace that connects neighbors who need local help with neighbors who offer their skills. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and mobile app (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to all users of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign up with Google or another provider, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from that provider.
Profile information. Information you choose to add to your public profile, such as your photo, bio, neighborhood or city, phone number, and the skills or services you offer.
Content you post. Listings you create (title, description, category, location, budget or rate, photos), applications you submit (including your message, proposed rate, and email address for status updates), messages you send to other users, reviews and ratings you leave, and contracts you create with other users.
Transaction and activity information. Records of your activity on the Service, such as the listings you save as favorites, applications you send or receive, contracts and their statuses, and gig board activity.
Technical information. Standard log data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and app analytics events (for example, that a listing was posted or an application was sent), which help us understand usage and improve the Service.
Communications. If you contact us or report a listing or user, we keep a record of your report and our response.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to train models or share it for advertising beyond what is described in this policy.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we remove or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and do not share your account credentials.
The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use Community Gigs. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app before the change takes effect, and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
